What this site is
Odd Evidence publishes researched investigations into unusual claims from history, science and nature. Every investigation cites its sources, carries a verdict against published standards, and shows the date it was last reviewed.
We work hard to be accurate. We are not infallible, and history and science both move. When we get something wrong we correct it and log it publicly on our corrections page.
This is not professional advice
Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or safety advice, and it should not be relied on as the basis for any decision that matters. Investigations are published for general interest.
Using our work
The text, verdicts, structure and original graphics on this site are the copyright of Odd Evidence.
You may quote a passage in your own writing, video or lesson with clear attribution and a link back to the investigation. We would like you to. Being cited is the point.
Please do not republish whole investigations elsewhere, or reproduce our work in a way that replaces a visit to the original. If you want to do something bigger than a quotation, email us. The answer is usually yes.
Images and source material
Images are credited and licensed individually. Their own licences govern their reuse, not these terms. See our image rights policy.
Quoted source material remains the property of whoever created it. If you hold rights in something we have used and believe we have used it wrongly, email hello@oddevidence.com and we will correct or remove it promptly.
Links to other sites
We link to sources so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or how they handle your data.
No warranty
This site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it.

We may update these terms. Changes appear on this page with a new date at the top.
